After a long and hard (more than 40°C, no air conditional, …) journey by bus (more than 12 hours) from Bagan to Kalaw, I have arrived in a small village. This journey, I will not forget it…not because I was really tired, but because I met a charming and lovely burmese girl. Only a few talks (my colleague did not want to move on my seat…), but lot of stares and I had the chance to try many local products because of her. With these few words, I really would like to thank her…

Before a trip in Burma, it is necessary to think about it : should I go or not ?

Because Burma is a oppressive military regime, it is good to think about that. You can totally disagree this regime, there are two visions :

Because I was not able to apply for a burmese 1 visa in Geneva, I had to find another way. The Permanent Mission of the Union Myanmar in UNO refused my request : if I wanted a burmese visa, I needed a flight to Burma. I did not want to use a plane, because my goal is to go to Burma by land.
